About Group Therapy & Workshops
I have a passion for group therapy and have experience in leading anxiety and depression support groups across Sydney. These support groups, which are funded by the Mental Health Association of NSW, are a great way of gaining support by listening to others and sharing your own experience of anxiety and depression. The groups are informal, open yet confidential, and collaborative and incorporate many therapeutic tools to help with improving your mental, physical, emotional and psychological health. Each 12-week group program is free of charge.

Benefits of Group Therapy
Joining a group of strangers may sound intimidating at first, but group therapy provides benefits that individual therapy may not. Groups can act as a support network where other members of the group often help you come up with specific ideas for improving a difficult situation or facing a life challenge, and hold you accountable along the way.
Regularly talking and listening to others can help you put your own problems in perspective.
Diversity is another important benefit of group therapy. People have different personalities and backgrounds, and they look at situations in different ways. By seeing how other people tackle problems and make positive changes, you can discover a whole range of strategies for facing your own concerns.
Group therapy is most effective when used together with individual therapy.
Alongside individual therapy, I enjoy leading small workshops on mental health and mindfulness-based, stress-reduction strategies. I have experience educating individuals on the benefits of mindfulness, exercise, mental health and positivity.
